In Association with Eco-Children Bursary Programme
Deep in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (KPNR), a magical African adventure is underway!
Founded in 2022 by Amy Macaskill, Walking Wild 4 Girls (WW4G) was inspired by the remarkable story of Malala Yousafzai, whose courage in advocating for girls’ education became a global symbol of resilience and equality.
Malala said: “One Child, One Teacher, One Book, and One Pen Can Change the World”
Amy said: “One Girl, One Dream, and One Chance Can Educate a Nation”
Amy’s initiative raises funds to support the education of a young girl from an impoverished rural community, whose future potential is severely limited by poverty. Beyond education, the programme empowers young people to mentor others, give back to their own communities, and become advocates for education and conservation, strengthening the unmistakeable bond between people and the wilderness areas they live in and around.
Each year, Amy and her guests take part in a journey through the wild landscapes of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Walking through one of Africa’s most pristine Big 5 wilderness areas, the challenge represents both a physical journey and a powerful symbol of purpose, opportunity and hope.
Walking Wild 4 Girls is proudly undertaken in partnership with Kateka Safari & Wellness, whose commitment to community upliftment and environmental conservation aligns closely with the objectives of this initiative.
